Thanksgiving Marathon

The Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon takes place at the Center Parc Stadium from 7:45-11:30 AM. The half marathon starts at Hank Aaron Drive close to the Olympic Ring and Cauldron building through downtown Atlanta, midtown, Piedmont Park, and Edgewood before coming back to Summerhill and ending on Georgia Avenue. The 5K has the same start and finish line as the half marathon, going through Grant Park and downtown Summerhill. The Dash for kids under six is held on Victory Plaza, while the mile, which is open to children six and above, is an out-and-back on Hank Aaron Drive.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

The Garden Lights at Atlanta Botanical Garden takes place from November 16 through January 12 from 5-10pm. Prices range from $45-$65 for Premium admission, and $30-$50 for general admission. See Atlanta Botanical Garden lit up for the holidays!

Ice Skating

Go on a hike! Thanksgiving is the perfect time to go on a hike with your friends and family. Luckily, Georgia is home to many hiking trails. Some trails include the Island Ford Trail, Arabia Mountain Trail, and the Sawnee Mountain Indian Seats Trail. Enjoy mountaintop views and breathtaking air.
